| La Chatelaine French Bakery |
614-848-6711 |
|
 |
La Chatelaine French Bakery & Cafe is nestled among the small shops in historic downtown Worthington. Offers patio dining in the warmer months, serves French cuisine and baked goods. The interior decor is classical French with exposed wood, brick and stone accents. While serving the traditional French beef bourgiugnon, there are many other choices include entrees leaning more towards American fare. The pastries and muffins are not unlike those found in other upscale bakery shops and may be a meal by themselves. Choose from sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast entrees (e.g. omelettes) and daily specials. Fine French wines to choose from with the more formal dinner hours. A quaint travel to a Paris cafe can be found at this particular location.

What a great breakfast! Omlettes, croissants, French bread and cafe au lait. An authentic French breakfast just like in France but with much better company!
Great place to enjoy proper crusty bread. |

If you know what a King Cake is, do not buy it from this place. They do not make a traditional cake with icing and colored sugar. Instead it is some kind of almond tart. Also, they tried to charge me 4 dollars more per item than they quoted me over the phone. I will not go back. They should not offer cajun french food if they are not going to be "cajun" about it. |

The French Bread, according to some REAL French people is as close as they can get to home. Excellent. |

Haute cuisine, no, but a great place to kick back with a book or enjoy breakfast or other meal with friends. Good coffee, eggs, quiche, bakery with pleasantly quirky service ("Bon jour" greeting a la Ohio) and occasional other quirks ("We're out of eggs" at breakfast one time). |
