When you first walk in the door of this corner cafe, you are struck by the sight of bags of coffee beans, plastic bins with beans from all over the world and a large bean grinder. Then there is the original art work on the walls from oils to chalk nudes, you know this is no ordinary cafe. A long but quickly moving line forms at lunch time for the gourmet deli sandwiches prepared with the finest deli meats and toppings along with fresh baked bread. One unusual bread used for sandwiches is somewhat like a flat cornbread. The daily specials include three different homemade soups and a special deli sandwich. After ordering your food, take a seat inside or one of several outside while the wait staff prepares and brings you your order. Premium drinks are offered or just drink water from a water cooler located a little too close to one of the tables. This is one of the most popular places in downtown Columbus. |
