The waitress was very slow to serve us. When I asked the busboy for ketchup he never came back to the table. The manager had to come back to bring us the ketchup. In addition, the KC Steak Delmonico contained alot of fat and grizzle. It was truly the WORST steak I ever had.. The mashed potatos were hard and tasted fake. The soups were good and so were the potato skins. The waitress did apologize for the poor service and when the manager came over (Manny), he apologized saying they were very short staffed and their service was usually never this slow but did not explain the awful tasting food. I would never return to this restaurant again. Go to Charlie's Brown's, Famous Dave's, Sarah Jane's, Rocky Hill Pub or the Tigers Tale for a much better meal and better service. |

I've had some good dishes, some bad, mostly average. I've had raw fish (not intentionally) served to me, without much apology. Mostly inconsistant service... boy is it hard to get someone's attention, and meal service takes HOURS! They can't ever seem to get my drink right- a tanqueray and tonic. (come on, how hard is it to make a tanqueray and tonic.)
But the DESSERTS are just FABULOUS and are what keeps me coming back for more. |

The rude barmaid, overcharged my husband by $2.35 on the first round and was arrogant on serving the other 5 people in our party. There were 2 young barmaids, one blond and one dark haired. The dark one was so curt that I had to insist that my cousin not make a scene. She needs customer service lessons. There are plenty of good crowded restaurants that are willing to take my money on a Wed. night and add 18% to the check and treat us well. |

Stopped by this place almost by accident, now I'm telling all my friends about it. The swordfish entree and the filet mignon, at least, were more like gourmet food than what I was expecting for less than twenty bucks. They obviously have a fantastic chef. The Vesuvius cake blew me away with its rich, delicious, top quality chocolatey-ness. DELICIOUS. Really nice waitress too. I went for a coke - but supposedly they have an excellent selection of beers, as well as wine and mixed drinks. |
