The place to go for breakfast to unwind from the previous day. The employees and customers are all kick back which I love (since most of Fresno is not). My buddies (hey Murray) and I go here and have a cup of coffee and some breakfast while we discuss life. You can sit outside and smoke, which I love, and the coffee truly is bottomless. All the food is wonderful, but the service can lag when the place is full. |

Don't miss breakfast at Irene's. This is down home breakfast at its finest. Nothing fancy here. Good coffee, poured regularly and with reckless abandon, eggs scrambled perfectly, thick meaty bacon, perfectly browned and buttered toast. One cannot say enough about a relaxed breakfast at Irene's. Don't expect anything more than what you would get from a breakfast at your aunt's house, other than Irene at the register and a guest list straight from the Tower District (read: not your average Fresnan, but much more interesting). |
